Sinful Colors

I had to run a few errands this morning and one of the stops included Target. I was looking for a nail polish in a light mint or a light turquoise. I know Essie has each one of these colors so I was hoping to find them. I was out of luck.  I don't know if they were in the middle of restocking shelves or needed to place an order but their nail polish selection was sparse! BUT I looked at the lower shelves and found the Sinful Color collection! OMG!! The color of these polishes were sooooo beautiful!!! I wanted to take them all home! It wasn't the whole collection but it was a good chunk of the 200+ colors that Sinful Colors has to offer.  I didn't see a price tag for them and assumed that they would be a bit pricey like OPI but I discovered that they were only $1.99!! So with that nifty price tag, I picked up 4 colors and I plan on going back for more!

I did some swatches so you can see what I got. Now I am trying to figure out which one I should wear first! Like the Essie polishes, I wasn't thrilled with the brush but the color of the polishes so makes up for that. Please forgive my photos. I don't own a digital yet so I take all of my pictures using my phone. Lame I know but hey, it works for now.

My favorites are Forget Now (Duh! It is hot pink!) and Gorgeous! The color is so vibrant! The Mint Apple and Purple Diamond are great spring colors. Purple Diamond was the most sheer so when I wear this one I may add on a few more coats to try and deepen the color a bit or maybe find a darker lavender/purple and put Purple Diamond over it. They all have a pretty shimmer except Gorgeous is more of a metallic look.

One by One

When it comes to mascara, I am usually not that picky. They, for the most part, all seem the same to me. Unfortunately, I am a girl that HAS to wear mascara everyday. My eyelashes are so light that if I didn't wear mascara, people would think I didn't have eyelashes! lol And yes, my eyebrows are the same way but we will tackle that another day. So one would think it would be more important to me since I do have to wear it daily. I think I don't care that much about it because I haven't found one that I just absolutely love....until now!

Maybelline has come out with a fabulous mascara called One by One Volum' Express. It is amazing!!! I got the color Very Black. Not only does it separate all of my lashes and make them look super long but there is NO clumping!! I hate it when mascara gets clumpy. It drives me crazy. The packaging is super cute too...it is pink! You can't go wrong with pink!!  I think Maybelline has found the perfect combo of brush and formula. The brush is great too. It has so many little bristles to separate all of your lashes and it is the perfect size to get the lower lashes and the baby lashes as well. I really do love this mascara.

NOTD: Essie - Chinchilly

I read a few beauty blogs and one that I frequent weekly does a NOTD or nail of the day. Just basically the nail color I am wearing at that moment. Normally I am an OPI girl. I love the variety that OPI has but I have recently really started to love Essie! Today I am wearing Chinchilly by Essie. It is a very pretty gray color with no shimmer. It almost reminds me of storm clouds right before it rains. It is a creamy polish that goes on smoothly. The only real complaint I have with this product, and honestly it is not much of a complaint, is that the brush is small but hey, it works! :)
